Now that you have received your NC CareGivers student ID via email, you are set to launch your new health care career in North Carolina. Use your NC CareGivers ID number to enroll in training and when you apply for a job with an employer participating in NCCG. And, after 6 months of employment, you’ll receive a $500 retention bonus!

Step 1: Save your student ID number

Shortly after you submitted your registration form online, NC CareGivers will have emailed you your unique student ID number. This is your ticket to getting reimbursed for nurse aide training and testing, and to finding a participating employer offering a $500 bonus.

Step 2: Explore education sites and enroll in a training program

Now that you have your student ID number, you’re ready to begin your career in health care. Explore our training sites to find a nurse aide education site near you. Search our map or table listing for a location by city or county. Next, contact the nurse aide coordinators listed. They’ll help you enroll in a nurse aide training program that best suits your schedule.

Step 3: Find a job at an NCCG participating facility

As a certified nurse aide, you may apply for flexible positions at participating skilled nursing facilities across the state. Search our map or table listing by city or county to choose where you want to work. Then use your student ID when you contact that employer using the phone number and email address provided.
